Description: This course will provide students with an understanding of the application and business impact of their work as a geoscientist in the energy industry and provide the link with their coursework to their day to day jobs in their industry careers. The goal is to prepare students for careers in the industry by providing insight and understanding of the broader energy industry, the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers, as well as how projects are evaluated and executed from a business perspective. In addition, we will work on soft skills such as written/verbal communications and teamwork through class projects and discussions. Cross-list: EEPS 685. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for EEPS 485 if student has credit for EEPS 685. Repeatable for Credit.
