Description: This course will introduce you to major writers and theories of Caribbean literature, by focusing on the representation of places, peoples, and practices. Close attention will be paid to historical and cultural contexts, while conducting an in-depth analysis of literary texts from different genres. Taught in Spanish. Topics vary. Previously offered as SPPO 391. Mutually exclusive. Credit cannot be earned for SPAN 391 if student has previously taken SPPO 391. Recommended Prerequisite(s): Third year Spanish or permission of instructor.
