Description: An overview of computer engineering, starting with fundamental building blocks including transistors, bits, data representation, logic and state machines, progressing to computer organization, instruction sets, interrupts, input/output, assembly language programming, and linkage conventions, and ending with an introduction to architectural performance enhancements and computing services. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ELEC 220 if student has credit for COMP 222.
