Description: An introduction to the basic concepts, algorithms and applications in computer vision. Topics include: cameras, camera models and imaging pipeline, low-level vision/image processing methods such as filtering and edge detection; mid-level vision topics such as segmentation and clustering; shape reconstruction from stereo, introduction to high-level vision tasks such as object recognition and face recognition. The course will involve programming and implementing basic computer vision algorithms in Matlab. Additional coursework required beyond the undergraduate course requirements.
