Description: Computational methods such as first principles, kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC), classical MC (in Canonical, Grand Canonical, and isobaric-isothermal ensembles), and classic MD in predicting materials formation and properties. Case studies include cementitious materials, metals, and thermoelectric materials. Other case studies are possible depending on the student's background and instructor's approval.
