Description: An introduction to the statistics and mathematics required for the applications of data science to business environments. The course covers both descriptive and predictive analytics. Starting with the building blocks of probability, random variables and sampling distributions moving to hypothesis testing and regression analysis and culminating with more advanced topics such as multiple regression, model selection and time series analysis emphasizing their use in addressing concrete business problems.
