Description: A course dedicated to the study and craft of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Through engaged reading and creative exercises, students will analyze the use of various elements of creative writing - including image, voice, tension, character, setting, and story. Students will develop a writing portfolio as well as a sense of the possibilities inherent in and unique to each genre. Course counts toward the English Creative Writing Major Concentration (ECRW).
