Description: Offers undergraduate and graduate students insight into the public life of writing with particular attention to academic and literary publishing, editing, and presenting. Sessions organized around topics in these areas and visits with experts (agents, editors, authors, presenters, etc.) with experience in publishing, and creating series, festivals, and other forms of presentation. Meets 3 times per semester, helps develop internship possibilities for participants, and develop strategies for increasing the presentation of public writing at Rice. Previously offered as HURC 406/HURC 606. Instructor Permission Required.Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: HUMA 416. Repeatable for Credit.
