Description: Review of fundamentals of phase and chemical equilibrium thermodynamics and electro-chemistry, and their applications to model the phase behavior of petroleum reservoir fluids, and the generation and transformation of energy from renewable resources. Modeling of the partitioning of contaminants in the environment, carbon capture and sequestration and other environmental applications.
