Description: Explores key issues in Latin American culture. Important aspects of the contemporary situation in Latin America are also studied, including phenomena such as globalization, the rise of mega-cites, migration, authoritarianism, the impact of colonization and the rise of national states. Recommended Prerequisite(s): SPAN 303 or SPAN 321 or SPAN 322.
