Description: This course will examine the distinct character of Jewish religion and thought as it has taken shape in America, including its incorporation within secret societies and the occult. Topics to be examined are American Jewish denominationalism, interfaith relations, pluralism and individualism, and developments in American Jewish spirituality. Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: RELI 542. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for RELI 341 if student has credit for RELI 285/RELI 542.
