Description: This course will explore representations of the city in both new Latin American writings and films, with a special focus on the changing urban landscape, the representation of poverty and the excluded from the new global economy, environmental issues and biopolitics, as well as hybrid cultures and multicultural identities. Recommended Prerequisite(s): SPAN 303 or SPAN 321 or SPAN 322.
