CHEM 548 - PEPTIDE CHEMISTRY
Long Title: PEPTIDE CHEMISTRY DESIGN, SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURE
Grade Mode: Standard Letter
Language of Instruction: Taught in English
Course Type: Lecture
Credit Hours: 1.5
Must be enrolled in one of the following Level(s):
Description: A study of peptide chemistry. The course will start by examining solid phase peptide synthesis and strategies to prepare both simple and complex peptide primary architectures. Next we will look at analytical methods to assess peptide purity and structure mass spec, HPLC, FT-IR, CD and NMR. The course will then consider the design and characterization of peptide sequences that will result in specific three dimensional structures. Undergraduates enrolling in this course should have completed CHEM 212 or CHEM 320. Undergraduates may register for this course by Special Registration form.
