Description: Formerly SPAN 391. This course will introduce you to major writers and theories of Caribbean literature, by focusing on the representation of places, peoples, and practices. Close attention will be paid to historical and cultural contexts, while conducting an in-depth analysis of literary texts from different genres. Taught in Spanish. Topics vary. Recommended Prerequisite(s): SPAN 301, 302, 303, 312, or Permission of the Instructor.
