Description: From exorcism to other worldly visions, we experience religion as embodied human beings. This course explores embodied religion by focusing on connections between pain and transcendence, looking at medieval Christianity as well as contemporary and cross-cultural examples. Cross-list: MDEM 305, Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: RELI 566. Mutually Exclusive: Credit cannot be earned for both RELI 305 and RELI 566.
