Description: Introduction treatment of the basic structures of abstract algebra: groups, rings, and fields. Clear, cogent, and complete mathematical arguments are emphasized. A student many not receive credit for both MATH 306 and MATH 356. Recommended Prerequisite(s): MATH 222 and MATH 354 and MATH 355. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for MATH 306 if student has credit for MATH 356.
