Description: The interaction between (micro) organisms, minerals, rocks, and aqueous solutions is an important new field of research that requires an interdisciplinary approach between (micro) biology, organic chemistry, and geochemistry. This course provides an introduction and insight into this exciting new field and puts an emphasis on quantitative strategies. Taught every other Fall. Instructor Permission Required.Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: ESCI 407. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ESCI 607 if student has credit for ESCI 407.
