Description: Continuation of JAPA 141. Development of interactional competence in Japanese (sociolinguistic and socio cultural knowledge) to communicate and interact with speakers of Japanese. The course is based on a student-centered, critical-thinking approach to language analysis/acquisition. Recommended Prerequisite(s): JAPA 101 or JAPA 141 or JAPA 222 or Placement Test. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for JAPA 142 if student has credit for JAPA 262.
