Description: A continuation of FOTO 381 (formerly ARTS 381), this course will introduce electronic media as a tool for artistic production. Students will learn more advanced uses of Adobe Photoshop as it relates to production of image making and new media applications such as digital animation and digital painting. Special topics and techniques covered will include advanced color corrections in LAB color space, advanced masking and compositing techniques, as well as using Pen tablet. Students will have the opportunity to print on a large-format printer. Students entering the course should be proficient in the use of basic Adobe Photoshop operations. Space in studio classes is limited. Registration does not guarantee a place in class. The class roster is formulated on the first day of classes by the individual instructor.
