Description: Study of the poetry and prose poetry of the 19th century from the Romantic period to the Symbolist era, through such writers as Desbordes-Valmore, Lamartine, Musset, Vigny, Hugo, Nerval, Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud, and Mallarme. Recommended Prerequisite(s): FREN 311 or FREN 312.
