Description: Graduate seminar focusing on the development of antidiscrimination law in the context of race, gender, and sexual orientation. Close attention paid to competing approaches to judicial review (e.g. so-called judicial activism) and extent to which a judge's commitment to a particular mode of adjudication influences his/her understanding of constitutional principles. Enrollment restricted to graduate students.
