ARCH 336 - ARCHITECTURE & PUBLIC POLICY

Long Title: ARCHITECTURE AS PUBLIC POLICY: PUBLIC POLICY AS ARCHITECTURE
Department: Architecture
Grade Mode: Standard Letter
Course Type: Seminar
Credit Hours: 1
Description: The seminar will function as a companion course to POLI 337 (Public Policy and Bureaucracy) in order to provide an overview of public policy in both theoretical and practical terms and its impact upon the built environment. Frequently, architecture does not address the political process or community until it is too late, hence hindering the realization of projects. In the seminar we will create models for both design and program to exist as a integral arm of policy, and vice versa. Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: ARCH 636.
