Description: This course will introduce you to major writers and theories of Caribbean literature, by focusing on the representation of places, peoples, and practices. Close attention will be paid to historical and cultural contexts, while conducting an in-dept analysis of literary texts from different genres. Taught in Spanish. Topics vary. Topic for Spring '10: Music and Literature. Recommended Prerequisite(s): Third year Spanish or permission of instructor.
