Description: Course examines the diverse social movements for rights an resources that have emerged over the past few decades in Latin America, focusing on women's participation, feminism, and gender contestations. Particular attention will be paid to movements for indigenous rights and to issues of transnationalism/globalization. Cross-list: SWGS 357.
