Historically contextualized readings in Dante's COMMEDIA, Petrarch's CANZONIERE, Boccaccio's DECAMERON, 15th-century humanists (Bruni, Bracciolini, Poliziano, Pico), and 16th-century works by Bembo, Ariosto, Michelangelo, Castiglione, and Tasso.
