Description: The most brilliant strategy in the world cannot create value uless it is effectively implemented. Strategy implementation is one of the more difficult - and important - challenges facing managers because it is a complex, multi-dimensional and interdependent set of processes. We will explore the linkages between a chosen strategy, organizational resouces and capabilities, structure, culture, leadership and exogenous shocks. We will identify managerial processes that may be used to improve the effectiveness of the implementation process, including sequencing, feedback mechanisms, decision making under uncertainty, and managing knowledge and learning within an organization. The case method of learning will be heavily used. Repeatable for Credit.
