BIOS 310 - IND STUDY FOR BIOC UNDERGRADS

Description: Independent research in Rice BCB faculty laboratories (section 1) or in a non-BCB lab at Rice (section 2). In the summer term, students spend at least 42 hours in lab per hour of credit over the 8 week General Session (5.25 hours/week/credit hour). If taken for 3 or more hours, counts as one required lab course but not as a Group A or Group B course. Requires a proposal abstract, weekly reports, and a research paper. Students wishing to take BIOS 310 for up to seven credits in the summer may enroll in a second BIOS 310 section for up to 3 credits. Section 1 students may add section 3 and section 2 students may add section 4. NOTE: Off-campus labs do not qualify as sites for BIOS 310 during the summer session. Instructor Permission Required. Recommended: Instructor permission. Repeatable for Credit.
