Description: Students will learn the basic movements of American Ballroom Dance including the foxtrot, waltz, swing, and tango. Students will obtain a knowledge and appreciation of ballroom dance as a historical and recreational activity. This course requires an equal number of men and women. Sections 1 and 3 are designated for women. Sections 2 and 4 are designated for men. Equivalency: LPAP 240. This social dance class is performed in couples requiring an equal number of men and women. Men should register for Section 1 or 3 and women should register for Section 4 or 5. Failure to register in the correct section will result in a drop from the course.
