Description: POETRY AND TESTIMONY ***** This course looks at what it means to try to represent unrepresentable experiences such as horror, death, and war. We will consider the hypothesis that testimony is always somehow poetical, and study a series of poetic texts that interrogate the limits of testimonial discourse. ***** Prerequisite(s): Advanced Spanish or permission of the instructor. ***** Course not offered 2004-2005. ***** Instructor(s): Jenckes
