This course discusses the Economic Reform in China (starting 1976), and its impacts. Students examine the impacts by studying the voices produced by self-created entrepreneurs, popular novelists, rock-band singers, unemployed workers, and young artists. At the end of CHIN 314 students are expected to express their views of the related issues.
