Description: ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE CHINESE: MEDIA CHINESE ***** This course is designed to familiarize students with the language of print and broadcast media, with a focus on news media. Students will learn strategies and tactics applicable to newspaper reading, and essential skills for understanding television, broadcasting. Contents for discussion include sociopolitical, economic, cultural, and sport news. ***** Prerequisite(s): CHIN 302 or 311, or permission of the instructor. Ability to write 800 characters assumed. ***** Instructor(s): Shen
