Description: SOLID DYNAMICS ***** Introductuion to vibrations, wave propagation in elastic media, in situ soil properties, the behavior of soil subject to dynamic and cyclic loading, and engineering applications, including ground motion amplification by the soil, liquefaction of sands, seismic response of dams and retaining structures, and vibrations of machine foundations. ***** Prerequisites: CEVE 521.
