Description: FRENCH PHILOSOPHY ***** Survey of moral philosophy from Descartes to today, exploring the relationship between the individual and society, the problem of freedom and values, questions of universality, humanism, the important moments of the constitution and deconstitution of the subject. Includes Philosophy of Descartes, Rousseau, Condorcet, Comte, Guyau, Durkheim, Fouillee, Bergson, Alain, Camus, Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Lacan, Irigaray, Foucault, Levinas, and Ricoeur.
