Description: WAVELET AND SPECTRAL ANALYSIS ***** Classical and modern techniques for characterizing the frequency content of signals. Review of random processes and linear algebra; fourier transform-based methods and the periodogram; parametric techniques, including autogressive (AR) and autoregressive moving average (ARMA) modeling; nonparametric techniques, including minimum variance and eigenspace methods, and time-varying spectral analysis. ***** Also offered as STAT 586.
