Description: LABORATORY MODULE IN OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY AND KINETICS Students learn the principles behind fluorescence, circular dichroism, analytical ultracentrifugation, spectroscopy and rapid kinetics by carrying out experiments with genetically engineered proteins and state-of-the-art equipment. Data will be interpreted and manipulated using curve-fitting and graphics software. The course will provide basic and experimental training in protein chemistry and biophysics. PREREQUISITE: BIOS 352 and 481 or permission of the instructor.
