Description: DISCOURSE ANALYSIS ***** An overview of features and organization of language-in-use. Examination of the macro-structure of different genres of discourse, the interplay between language and social/cultural interaction, and the role of discourse and communication in motivating and shaping grammatical form. ***** Prerequisite: LING 300 or permission of instructor.
