Description: THE DEVELOPMENT OF TENSE AND ASPECT IN SECOND LANGUAGE LEARNING ***** The course provides an introduction to morphosyntactic analysis of tense-aspect systems, development of inflectional morphology among first and second language learners, sequence and rate of development of aspectual contrasts, the differences between natural and academic learning settings, and the impact of pedagogical manipulations. Also offered as SPAN 444. ***** PREREQUISITE: Advanced Spanish or permission of the instructor.
