ANTHROPOS, HUMANISM AND TECHNOLOGY ***** DISTRIBUTION COURSE GROUP 2 ***** An upper level reading and research seminar that combines readings in the history of humanism with empirical and theoretical issues from the present. Texts and topics from Kant to JCR Licklider on anthropos and humanism, and examples from current debates: genetic engineering, environmentalism, interfaces and networking technologies, testing technologies, and intellectual property regimes.
