Description: CALDERON'S THEATER ***** This course will cover the principal dramatic works which have earned for Calderon the distinction of being the most important philosophical and relegious dramatist of the Golden Age. Amoung the works to be studied: La vida es sueno, El magico prodigiouso, El gran teatro del mundo, La cena del rey Baltasar, and El pintor de su deshonra (auto). ***** Prerequisite(s): advanced Spanish or permission of the instructor.
