Description: DEATH & DYING IN RELIGION & LITERATURE ***** Death, immortality, resurrection, grief and mourning in selected texts and films of Western and Asian religious traditions, and modern and postmodern literature. Readings from the Bible, Plato, Augustine, Pascal, St. Theresa of Avila, the Upanishads, selected Buddhist texts and the works of Tolstoy, Rilke, Kafka, and Celan, and selected science fiction.
