Description: WOMEN & VISUAL CULTURE IN ISLAMIC SOCIETIES ***** This course places women at the center of explorations of visual culture in Islamic societies. In-depth analyses of selected works of art and architecture from various historical contexts highlight various issues, including women as patrons of art and women as objects of representation.
