Description: MAPPING GERMAN CULTURE: EDUCATION AND OCCUPATION IN COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVE ***** This course offers an introduction to the relationship between education and occupation in a comparative perspective. We investigate the institutional pattern of this relationship in the United States, Germany, Britain, France, and Japan. As a result, we will be able to distinguish general patterns of education and occupation as well as institutional and cultural differences. Taught in English. ***** Also offered as SOCI 60.
