Description: PHILOSOPHICAL TOPICS IN ADVANCED LOGIC ***** Various systems of formalization for modalities, tenses and other intensional concepts are studied syntactically and semantically. Students use and compare these systems and evaluate their strengths and limits. These provide examples for discussion of questions such as: What is a logical constant? What is the scope of logic?
