Description: THEORY & METHODS OF TEACHING ESL ***** Introduction to the theory and practice of teaching a second language. Includes the process of language learning viewed from social, psychological, and linguistic perspectives, as well as commonly used teaching "methods," such as the audiolingual method, situational language teaching, the natural approach, and TPR, among others. Required for linguistics majors in second language acquisition concentration. *****
