Description: STUDIES IN RACIAL AND ETHNIC IDENTITY: MEXICAN AMERICANS ***** Historical and contemporary analyses of Mexican American social identity. Questions of assimilation and marginality inform this experience, the Civil Rights Movement, known in the Southwest as "the Chicano Movement," constituting the primary point of departure.
