Description: ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGY ***** DISTRIBUTION COURSE GROUP 3 ***** Course examines interrelations between humans and the geologic environment. Emphasis on geologic processes, hazards, environmental management. Topics include: groundwater, soils, landslides, subsidence, river, coastal & lacustrine environments, earthquakes, and volcanic activity, mineral and energy resources, waste disposal. Course includes local field trips.
