Description: SYMBOLIC INTERACTIONISM ***** SI studies face-to-face interaction among people as they create and use socially constructed symbols, meanings, identities and definitions of social situations and subcultures. Diverse constructed forms: conception and presentation of self, the interaction in situations, and the dramaturgy of occasions. Students conduct "micro" research in the SI tradition.
