Description: INTRODUCTION TO THEATRE DESIGN ***** DISTRIBUTION COURSE GROUP 1 ***** Examination of the basic principles of scenic, lighting, and costume design, with emphasis on the principles and elements of design as they apply to theatre productions. Students will individually and in collaboration read and analyze a variety of plays in different styles, and then, based on text analysis, research, and concept statements, complete and present individual design projects in each of the three areas.
