Description: INTRODUCTION TO FILM ***** This course will introduce students to a range of methods for analyzing film. Each semester will focus on a particular approach, such as: auteur theory (major directors); Film genres (documentary, science fiction, horror); film criticism (writing about international film movements); or national cinemas (comparative approaches to Hong Kong, India, Hollywood).
