Description: INTRODUCTION TO THE SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE I ***** Spanish 101 is a course designed for people who have little or no knowledge of Spanish. Based on a task-oriented approach to language and culture learning, Spanish 101 allows the beginning student to develop the necessary abilities to communicate satisfactorily in Spanish in everyday situations. Students are expected to be active participants in the learning process. Class meetings are not based on lectures, but rely heavily on student interaction. ***** Enrollment limited to 20 per section.
